For sign language agencies
Sign language interpreting agency software
Book BSL, ASL and other signed languages with two interpreters where the job needs them, run video sessions in your own rooms or Microsoft Teams, take requests from Deaf clients by portal, email or text rather than by phone, and get every interpreter paid correctly.
In short
A sign language agency's bookings differ from spoken-language work in a few ways that matter every day: many assignments need two interpreters, a lot of work is by video, and many clients prefer not to use the phone. LinguisTriks books British Sign Language out of the box, lets you add ASL, ISL or SSE, puts several interpreters on one booking, runs video in your own rooms or Teams, and takes requests through a client portal, your website and two-way text messages.
Team interpreting
Two interpreters on one booking, each paid correctly
A conference, a long medical appointment or a day in court needs a team. Put two or more interpreters on the same booking, each with their own rate, their own timesheet and their own payment, and offer the places to your shortlist by email and text in one go. Everyone's answer is logged against the booking.
- Several interpreters on one booking
- A rate, a timesheet and a payment for each
- Offers by email and text, accepted with one tap
- A shared log of who was asked and what they said
Requests
Bookings by portal, email, web form or text, not phone calls
Deaf clients, their employers and the organisations that fund them can request a booking without a phone call. Each client contact gets a secure portal to request interpreters, follow bookings and pay invoices; the quote form on your own website creates the enquiry with any documents attached; and text messages go both ways in the shared SMS inbox.
- A client portal for requests, status and invoices
- A request form built into your own website
- Two-way text messages in a shared inbox
- Emails to your shared mailbox turned into enquiries, if you switch it on
Video
Remote signed sessions in your own rooms or Teams
A video session runs in your own branded meeting room, opened from a link in the browser, or as a Microsoft Teams meeting created for the booking. Each person gets a personal join link, a waiting room holds anyone else until a host lets them in, and sessions can be recorded where your agency allows it and kept with the booking.
- Your own video rooms, or a Teams meeting per booking
- Personal join links and a waiting room
- Recording where your agency allows it
- Calendar invites that move or cancel with the booking
Interpreter records
Registrations, documents and rates on the record
Keep each interpreter's languages, services and specialisms, their CV and certificates, their rates and your internal notes and ratings in one record, and find the right person by language and location. Interpreters keep their own details, availability and payment details up to date in a portal built for phones.
- Languages, services, skills and specialisms
- CVs and certificates stored securely
- Rates per interpreter and per booking
- Star ratings and notes, visible to your team only
Invoicing
Invoices with the references funders ask for
Every booking carries a client reference, and your own custom fields hold whatever a funder or employer asks to see, such as a claim or cost-centre number. Put one booking or a month's bookings on an invoice, send statements by organisation or contact, follow up overdue invoices in stages, and take card or PayPal payments online.
- Client reference and custom fields on every booking
- One booking or many on one invoice
- Statements and staged reminders
- Card and PayPal payments recorded automatically
Interpreter pay
Paid correctly, and never twice
Interpreters request payment in their portal and your team approves it. Pay through Wise, Airwallex or PayPal, one interpreter at a time or as a whole pay run, with each payment carrying a single reference so it can't be sent twice, and a cancelled booking can still be paid when your terms say so.
- Payouts through Wise, Airwallex or PayPal
- One interpreter or a whole pay run
- Cancellation fees to the client, and pay for the interpreter, each decided separately
- Only the staff you choose can release payments
Questions
Sign language agencies, answered
Does it support British Sign Language and ASL?
British Sign Language is in the language list from the start, and your agency adds any other language it works in - American Sign Language, Irish Sign Language, Sign Supported English - in the settings, with no developer involved.
Can we book two interpreters for one job?
Yes. A booking can have several interpreters, each with their own rate, timesheet and payment, and you can offer the places to a shortlist by email and text in one go.
Can Deaf clients book without phoning?
Yes. Clients request bookings in their own portal or through the form on your website, and text messages are answered from a shared inbox. Interpreters accept jobs from a link in an email or text, with no call and no password.
Does it run video sessions?
Yes. In your own branded video rooms or as a Microsoft Teams meeting created for the booking, with personal join links, a waiting room and recording where your agency allows it.
Can an interpreter be paid when a booking is cancelled late?
Yes. Cancel a booking with charges still billable to the client, and decide separately whether the interpreter is paid, in line with your own terms.
Is there an app for interpreters?
The interpreter portal works in the browser on any phone - large buttons, a tab bar and payment details first - so there is nothing to install. Jobs, timesheets, invoices and payment details are all there.
