Pricing compared

How much does translation management software cost in 2026?

Published list prices for translation and interpreting agency systems, from the vendors' own pricing pages, checked on 3 October 2026, with what teams of 3, 10 and 25 people would pay and the costs that don't show up in the headline price.

In short

Agency software is priced in four main ways: per user, per manager who is logged in at the same time, by translation volume, or by the number of interpreting assignments. Published prices run from €15.50 a month for a freelancer to €60,000 a year and more for enterprise platforms, and several well-known systems (XTRF, Plunet, Boostlingo) only quote privately. At list price, a three-person agency would pay between €45 and about $525 a month for the tools compared below, depending on how much of the business each one runs.

The pricing models you'll come across

Per user

A price for each person who uses the system each month. Simple to forecast; the bill grows with your team.

Per manager logged in

You pay for how many managers can be signed in at the same time, and can create more accounts than that.

By translation volume

Plans include a number of words a year, and you move up a plan as volume grows. Common with enterprise translation platforms.

By assignment

Interpreting schedulers often include a number of assignments a year and charge for each one over it.

Per plan

A fixed monthly price for a bundle, sometimes with a set number of users included.

Quote only

No published price: you book a demo and receive a proposal, often with set-up fees and a minimum number of licences.

Why we aren't the cheapest, and when that matters

LinguisTriks costs more per person than the lightest tools. It runs interpreting and translation in one system, takes client payments, pays linguists through Wise, Airwallex or PayPal, and includes online meetings and AI. If you only need quotes and invoices for translation work, a lighter tool may be all you need; if your team juggles bookings, documents and payouts across several tools, the total is what to compare.

Costs that don't show up in the headline price

Before you compare totals, ask every vendor the same questions. The answers change the real price more than the per-user figure does.

  • Set-up, onboarding and data migration fees
  • A minimum number of users or licences
  • Annual billing required, or a higher monthly price
  • Add-ons for translation memory, an editor or AI
  • Charges for extra assignments, words or storage
  • Separate tools still needed for payments, meetings or accounting
  • What happens to your data, and the cost of exporting it, if you leave

Questions

Agency software pricing, answered

How much does translation agency software cost?

From about €15 a month for a freelancer to tens of thousands a year for enterprise platforms. For a small agency, published per-user and per-plan prices typically come to between €45 and about $525 a month for three people, depending on how much of the business the software runs.

Why don't some vendors publish their prices?

Some systems are sold with set-up projects, minimum licence numbers or custom modules, so the price depends on the agency. XTRF, Plunet and Boostlingo, for example, ask you to request a quote.

Is there free software for translation agencies?

Protemos is free for freelancers, and most vendors offer a free trial. LinguisTriks has a 30-day free trial with every feature and no credit card.

What does LinguisTriks cost?

LinguisTriks is priced per user per month, with lower prices for your first months and for larger teams. Every price is on the pricing page, onboarding and training are included, and there are no add-ons to buy.

How often are these prices checked?

We read each vendor's own pricing page and note the date at the top of this page. Prices change, so follow the links before you decide, and tell us if anything here is out of date.
