Interpreter booking system

An interpreter booking system for your agency and your clients

Clients book online, coordinators offer the job to the right interpreters by email and SMS, and the first good answer becomes a confirmed booking, with reminders, timesheets and the invoice following on from it.

In short

An interpreter booking system turns a request for an interpreter - language, date, time and place or remote link - into a confirmed booking with an interpreter assigned. In LinguisTriks, clients book in their own portal, coordinators send the job to a shortlist by email and SMS, and the interpreter accepts with one tap. Reminders, timesheets, the client invoice and the interpreter's payment all follow from the same booking.

One booking form

Face-to-face, telephone and video, in one place

Every booking records what a coordinator needs to staff it: the languages, the type of session, the date and time in the booking's own time zone, the place or the remote link, the duration and the client's reference. Your own custom fields cover anything else your contracts ask for.

  • Face-to-face, telephone and video sessions
  • Each booking in its own time zone
  • Client reference or PO number on every booking
  • Your own custom fields, such as cost codes

Staffing

Offer the job to the right interpreters at once

Search interpreters by language, skills and location, then send the job to a shortlist by email and SMS in one go. Every offer and every answer is logged against the booking, so a colleague can see who has already been asked.

  • Email and SMS offers from your templates
  • One-tap accept or decline, with no password
  • A shared log of who was contacted and what they said

Client portal

Clients book, follow and pay online

Give each client contact a secure portal. They request interpreters, see the status of every booking, accept quotes and pay invoices online, and your team sees each of those actions in the client's history.

  • Online booking requests
  • Booking status at any time
  • Quotes accepted or paid online
  • Invoices paid by card or PayPal

Changes and cancellations

Late changes handled properly

Plans change. Cancel a booking with or without charges to the client, decide whether the interpreter is still paid, and let the system tell everyone. Remote sessions send a calendar cancellation automatically.

  • Cancel with or without client charges
  • Decide whether the interpreter is still paid
  • Calendar invites updated or cancelled
  • Bookings with no interpreter flagged before they start

Questions

Interpreter booking, answered

What is an interpreter booking system?

Software that takes a request for an interpreter and turns it into a confirmed booking: the details of the session, the interpreter assigned, confirmations and reminders. In an agency, it also connects the booking to the client invoice and the interpreter's payment.

Can our clients book interpreters online?

Yes. Each client contact gets a secure portal where they request interpreters, follow their bookings, accept quotes and pay invoices.

Do interpreters need an app?

No. Interpreters accept or decline from a secure link in an email or SMS, with no password, and their portal works in the browser on any phone.

Can we charge for late cancellations?

Yes. A booking can be cancelled with charges still billable to the client, and you decide separately whether the interpreter is still paid.

Can bookings carry PO numbers and cost codes?

Yes. Every booking has a client reference, and you can add your own custom fields for cost codes, departments or anything else your contracts need.

How much does it cost?

LinguisTriks is priced per user per month, with every price on the pricing page and a 30-day free trial.
